  • Yes, the planetarium could serve as the hub but with no one interested in Astronomy there, it has turned into a non-entity.  Many people ask me if the planetarium is working ? Think the plight of the other two planetaria, viz. one each at Gorakhpur and Rampur ! The senior most staff at these two are hardly available there for consultations. The planetarium projects initiated in the sate with involvement of several luminaries in the field has always been surrounded with controversies and litigations. It is not possible for a computer engineer turned State Project Coordinator to give a fillip to Astronomy related activities in the state.
